| UK fails renewables test | |
| 03 July 2007 The UK is lagging behind other countries in its use of renewables technology according to Bsria’s latest research into the renewables market. Launched yesterday at the All Party Building Services Engineering Group annual lunch at the House of Commons, the research revealed that the UK is at the bottom of the list in the adoption of solar water heating, heat pumps, biomass, solar photovoltaic, heat recovery and microCHP. Japan has the highest adoption of heat pumps, while Germany and China top the league for solar thermal use, Germany and Japan are heavy users of PV and Germany and France are top of the list for use of biomass boilers.
